Rosa Parks Library Soweto along with the Young African Leaders Initiative Network hosted our managing director and co-founder, Aaron Thornton on the 5th November 2015.
The Young African Leaders Initiative Network (YALI Network) is President Obama’s signature effort to invest in the next generation of African entrepreneurs, educators, activists, and innovators. The White House launched YALI in 2010 to support young African leaders as they spur growth and prosperity, strengthen democratic governance, and enhance peace and security across Africa.
Rosa Parks Library Soweto, launched in 1976, is a library that offers youth and educational development solutions in South Africa. The library’s activities place a special emphasis on youth development, entrepreneurship, and career and education support.
Aaron shared advice on business startups at the workshop. The talk was part of their Young African Leaders Initiative Network course, “The Fundamentals of Starting and Running a Business”. Aaron gave advice specifically for the third lesson of the course being “Identifying your markets”.
He was a great entrepreneurial inspiration and motivated the new generation of entrepreneurs.
